Like gift cards, customers frequently spend more than the value loaded on their ticket. The convenience of simply presenting the ticket for payment also encourages the customer to spend more freely. A North American stadium saw its per caps for food almost double since implementing stored value.

Tickets are presented at the point of sale for payment, so patrons need less cash in hand. As a result, queues move faster and transactions take less time. Customers are more inclined to purchase as they won’t have to leave their seats for long. Costs for cash handling, insurance and credit card processing fees are greatly reduced.
